We say it all the time. #BePoetic. But what does that mean? Are we a bunch of women sitting around quoting Dickinson and Plath? Do we only speak in verse and meter?

While we ourselves at Poetic Licence have been known to spout an ode or two from time to time (Most often in reverence of shoes. What else!?), we take #BePoetic much more to heart. 

Poetic Licence is a celebration of all women. We are footwear designed with the hope of inspiring women to embrace their authentic beauty, express their own individuality, and invigorate a zest for life. This is where #BePoetic comes from.

@AndreaOutsideTheBox tells fans exactly how she is poetic. "I love the untold story behind the piece. A story I will never know. I think wearing vintage clothing continues the  untold story...and I get to add to it in my own way...It's [fashion] about letting your own passions show through. It is about being YOU and not letting someone else's opinion dictate your personal flare."

So when we say #BePoetic, we mean be you, be unique, celebrate your authenticity and your beauty, and express yourself. There is no need to adhere to the status quo. Be interpretive. Just be you, whether that be sassy, bold, imaginative, creative, modest, plucky, dainty, wild or...poetic. The list goes on!
